Asian Solanaceous Round Table III (ASRT III) is organized by APSA, in partnership with the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Indian Institute of Horticultural Research (IIHR), Society for Promotion of Horticulture (SPH) and in association with the Federation of Seed Industry of India (FSII) and the National Seed Association of India (NSAI). This year edition, ASRT III was held in Bengaluru during 22 – 25
SeedWorks International MD & CEO, Mr Venkatram Vasantavada spoke about the Role of Youth in Modern Agri-Businesses at IIM Nagpur on 9th October 2019. Addressing a large student gathering, Mr Venkatram highlighted the scale, complexities, challenges and opportunities in the Indian Agriculture. He highlighted that agriculture needs to be developed in line with the requirements of the 21st century in view of the increasing population and urbanization. He also spoke about how Agri sector is getting disrupted by Technology and soon be a high-tech industry. He called attention of 120+ students present on importance of right seed in the farming and the case of spurious seeds in the Indian Seed Markets. The students appreciated the efforts of SeedWorks to provide superior seed solutions to farmers and expressed their interest to contribute to the sector.
The Indian Council of Food & Agriculture (ICFA) which is always in the forefront of engaging with players in the value chain to find solutions to existing and emerging challenges in agricultural development, organized an International meeting of various seed stakeholders to discuss and develop a strategic plan for seed sector advancement. SEED WORLD 2019 at Bangalore, India on 18-21 September 2019, which focused on the growth parameters for the sector in Asia and Africa. The event was organized by Indian Council of Food & Agriculture, International Seed Federation (ISF) and was supported by Federation of Seed Industry of India (FSII) and National Seed Association of India (NSA) and SeedWorks were one of the co-sponsors for the event.

This year’s edition of Sankalp was held on 6 -7th September 2019; with a range of flagship events to facilitate the multi-dimensional strengths of upcoming manager pool.
C.C.S National Institute of Agricultural Marketing organized a two days B- fest AGROVON 2k19 on 7th and 8th September 2019. VIVECHAN- The case study competition was sponsored by SeedWorks International Pvt. Ltd. on 8th September 2019. “GOOD BEGINNINGS CREATES POSITIVE VIBES”, to create those vibes the event started with a corporate video of SeedWorks which motivated the participants and conveyed the expectations of the jury, a brief speech was delivered by Mr. Vinayak Raman Sharma (Vice-President- Marketing, Seedworks International Pvt. Ltd.). Total 6 teams were shortlisted for the final campus round from the 48 abstracts. Those 6 teams gave presentations and were evaluated by the esteemed jury panel which consisted of Mr. Vinayak Raman Sharma, Mr. Sandeep Tandon (Vice-President Samunnati), Dr. Ramesh Mittal (Director, CCS NIAM), Mr. Amit Shekhar (General Manager, Farm Management Mahindra Rise). During the presentations, students came up with many innovative ideas and in-depth Market Research related to the case. After binding up all the presentations results were announced, team “WE MATCH” from SIIB, Pune was the winner, team “SHIN” from IIM Ahemadabad was the runner up and special cash prize was given to “KISMAT” from VAMNICOM, Pune for their extraordinary points.
International Seed Conference and Expert Consultation was held at Kathmandu, Nepal on September 3rd and 4th, 2019.
A seminar on seed technology innovation for sustainable rice production was organized by FSII on 6th Sep 2019 at New Delhi. Venkatram Vasantavada, MD & CEO, Satish Kumar, GM (Production)-Pearl Millet, Mustard and Hybrid Rice and Baljinder Singh Nandra, Lead Government and Regulatory Affairs were present on behalf of SeedWorks.
MANAGE Hyderabad organized their Annual B-fest “Krishi Chanakya” on 16th&17th August 2019 in association with SeedWorks International Pvt. Ltd. as the major sponsor. Krishi Chanakya attracted participants from different B-Schools and veterans from different fields across the country. The flagship events of Krishi Chanakya were B-Plan (Akanksha), Case-Study (Sushodh), Financial Model (Vishleshan), Social Idea (Khoj), Agri Summit (Shikhar) etc.
