Inaugural ceremony of Project Janak on 09th November 2020, at Vegetable Plant, Medchal.
SeedWorks Supply Chain is QR code enabled end to end from Breeder seed to Commercial Seed in the entire business. We are a step ahead in line with the Government of India’s initiative to make QR codes mandatory for proper tracking mechanism and good governance as a part of the National Mission of Seed Traceability. We @SeedWorks are committed to digitalization and bringing in the best practices to Indian seed space across the value chain. We had the honour of having Dr K Kesavalu, Director of Telangana State Seed and Organic Certification Authority (TSSOCA), Managing Director of Telangana State Seed Development Corporation and Vice-President ISTA as our esteemed chief guest. MD and CEO Mr Venkatram Vasantavada, Mr Raja Vadlamani, VP SCM, Dr Raj, AVP Quality Assurance and Dr Jagadeesha Gouda, Head Research (Hybrid Rice) were also present physically at the inaugural ceremony of Project Janak on 09th November 2020, at our Vegetable Plant, Medchal. All the Senior Leadership Team members was participating through Microsoft Teams Online and the event was also available on Facebook.
Mr Pulkit Mittal, AVP Digital Transformation presented the need of having such a solution, described the existing and New Janak process while highlighting the key value added points. He also laid out the plan for taking Project Janak to scale.
Mr Vijay Kumar, DGM Information Technology gave the live demonstration to the guests and the audience on the shop floor.
SeedWorks supply chain is not just confined to trace and track mechanism of seed through barcoding, but have a proper mechanism to track the growing conditions of each lot, it’s quality parameters, whether metrics that a seed lot underwent.
