SeedWorks at Welingkar Institute

SeedWorks Team comprising of MD & CEO Venkatram Vasantavada and General Manager – Digital Transformation Pulkit Mittal visited the Welingkar Institute based out of Mumbai on 27th Feb 2020 for an interaction with the Students on the Agriculture and how it’s fast changing. Mr Venkatram highlighted the concerns and associated opportunities to the students and gathered an amazing response from 50+ students attended the speech.

FARMER-AGRI EXPERT WORK SHOP

Agri expert workshop was held at Puri on 1st Feb, where growers were new to Hybrid Rice seed production. The topic of discussions were Sustainable Rice Seed Production, Climate Resilience followed by a Q&A session. Dr. Jagadeesha Gowda (Breeder-Rice) and Mr.Raja Vadlamani (VP-Supply Chain) participated in the work shop. They were joined by Dr. Dilip, An agronomist from OUAT, HSP Team and SPR Team. The program was hosted by Mr. Tarun Mohanthy (Organiser)

SeedWorks @ KRUSHIK 2020

SeedWorks International Pvt Ltd. participated in KRUSHIK 2020, India’s biggest live demo & Agri expo @ KVK Baramati during 16th -19th Jan 2020. We demonstrated 20 live plots of Tomato, Chilli, Okra, Ridge Gourd, Bitter Gourd, Watermelon, Cucumber, Pumpkin and Marigold along with fruit display of 40 products.

SeedWorks has been honoured with The Economic Times “Champions of Rural Markets 2019“ award second time in a row at the luminous 2nd annual edition of The Economic Times of Champions of Rural Markets 2019 which took place on 13th December @ New Delhi. The award was presented by Honourable Minister of Rural Development, Bihar. This platform decorated brands, which have stood firm in the winds of globalization and have truly become a part of popular culture and day to day lives.

CSR Activity

SeedWorks International Pvt Ltd. being socially responsible and in alignment with our core value of “Mindfulness of the environment and society”, involves in CSR activities from time to time. Our HR and Admin department interacted with government schools nearby to understand their requirements. SeedWorks donated school benches to MPPS Dundigal, Mandal- Dundigal Gandi Maisamma, Medchal District on 11TH Dec 2019. Our employees visited the school and spent quality time with children. This was well appreciated by school authorities.

Review & Preview Meeting (SW VC), 12th-13th November @ Hyderabad

7- Month Review & Preview meeting of SeedWorks Vegetable Crops Team (SWVC) was held on 12th & 13th November at Hyderabad, in presence of Mr. Venkatram Vasantavada, MD & CEO, Mr. Ajay Juneja, Business Head – Vegetable Crops and Mr. Ghanshyam Chandra Singh, Vice President – HR. Two – day event was successfully knitted with key A’s: Approach, Achievements, Analysis & Assignments across the functions. Fruitful discussions delivered positive zeal to each of the participants to be a go-getter, as we enter the final lap of FY 2019-20.

SeedWorks @ APSA 2019, Kuala Lumpur

The 26th Asian Seed Congress (ASC 2019) was held from 25th – 30th November 2019 at Kuala Lumpur. Congress was co-organized by the Asia and Pacific Seed Alliance, Ltd. and the National Seed Association of Malaysia (NSAM). More than 1500 delegates across 48 countries, representing 520 seed companies participated in the Congress. From SeedWorks, Mr. Venkatram Vasantavada, MD & CEO and Mr. Ajay Juneja, Business Head – Vegetable Crops, attended APSA 2019.

Grow with US! Farmer Endorsement for SW 502

News article was published on 23rd September dated edition of Eenadu Newspaper on SW502 Marigold. Mr. Ramanjula Reddy, Madhuvandla Palla Village, Sampalla Taluka, Kadapa district cultivated SW 502 in half acres of land. He planted 4500 plants in half acre and done the first harvest in 42-45 days after transplanting. He sold the flowers to Hyderabad / Chennai markets at a price of Rs.30/kg during regular days and Rs.70-80/kg in festive season.
